Purpose

- To produce a framework for academic research data and sample surveys on farming, forestry and fishing villages
- To produce statistics for small administrative divisions such as 'Eup', 'Myeon', 'Dong' and provide agriculture, forestry and fisheries data that countries can exchange or use for analysis

- 2005: Carried out the Census of Agriculture, the Census of Forestry and the Census of Fisheries simultaneously
- 2010: Combined the three censuses
