History

  • 1999: Made plans for the production of E-commerce Statistics
  • 2000: Approval for the statistical production
  • 2008: Changed survey method from a complete survey to a sample survey
  • 2014: Changed the survey title (Cyber Sopping Mall Survey → Monthly Online Shopping Survey)
    • Added survey items e.g., mobile shopping transaction amount
  • 2016: Published statistics of online overseas direct sales and purchases (quarterly.)
  • 2018: Sample redesign as of 2016

  • Online shopping mall title, company name, website URL, Mobile Application, product classification, operational way classification, products and service transaction amounts, mobile transaction amounts, etc.

  • On-site interview (along with the internet or postal survey)
