- Establishments manufacturing machinery out of C25 「Metal processing product manufacturing」 ~ C31「Manufacturers of other transportation facilities」 based on the Korean Standard Industrial Classification
Survey Unit and Target Population Size
- Survey unit: Enterprise
- Survey population: Based on results of the Mining and Manufacturing Survey from two years ago, purposively selected enterprises which represent 65% of the total production of equipment machinery in the same year

- Reference period: The 1st day to the last day of a month

- March 1979: Approval for the production of statistics
- Nov. 1993: Change in the approval No. for the statistics production
- Sep. 2001: Sub-divided the user classification system
- Jan. 2006: Compiled the indices at constant prices
