Definition	A smallest legal/institutional unit that produces goods and services which has an autonomy in respect of allocating resources for the production of goods and services. It is a unit at which all information relating to revenue/expenditure transactions, including financial and balance-sheet accounts, is maintained independently.
Commentary	An enterprise is comprised of one or several establishments such as a head office, regional offices, local branches, factories, sales offices, etc.
